I write the program I would
run myself.

I have coached in a commercial gym in Denver for eleven years, mostly people with jobs, kids and about four hours a week. That constraint shaped everything here. Nothing on this site assumes you can train six days, and nothing assumes you have a full rack of specialty bars.
What I kept running into was the same gap. People would buy a program, follow it for three weeks, and then quietly stop, because nothing in it told them whether what they had just done was right. So I started writing the load, the RPE, the rest and the tempo on every single set, and giving people somewhere to record what they actually lifted. Adherence roughly doubled. That is the whole idea, and it is the reason this site looks the way it does.
I am CSCS-certified through the NSCA. I am not a physician, I do not treat injuries, and every program here says plainly who it is not for. Outside the gym I am slowly and badly learning to play the cello.
